TriKids is Melbourne's triathlon club for kids 6–11 — and this season it comes with its own game-packed adventure app, a starter pack, and five race days on the beach.
Ages 6–11 · Race days at Elwood, St Kilda & Sandringham · Melbourne bayside
Brand new for the 2026/27 season
Every TriKids member gets the TriKids app — an illustrated journey to race day where kids play, train and learn real triathlon skills, and parents get every tool they need for the big morning.

An illustrated island world that walks kids to the start line — missions, quizzes and games that charge their Turbo tank for race week.
A proper playable arcade race — swim, bike, run — where the rules of triathlon (helmet first!) are built into the game.
A whole race morning in 18 playable chapters — packing the bag, the start hooter, transitions, pacing — every chapter teaches a real race skill.
Scan at the race tent to stamp each round and build the five-piece virtual Season Champion medal in their Race Passport.
Invite-only crews of up to 10 mates working on weekly missions together. No strangers, no ads, no pressure.
No public rankings, no streak pressure. Kids earn stars for showing up and having a go — the TriKids way.

Your whole race morning in one place — schedule, wave times, spectate guide and a live countdown so nobody's guessing at 6am.
Kids races are untimed — so time your own kid if they'd love it. Swim, bike, run splits saved to their race story.
Per kid, per round — goggles to sunscreen, ticked off the night before so race morning stays calm.
Season stats, per-round times and a shareable race-story card for the family group chat.
All five rounds with entry links, stamped DONE as the season builds — plus training options when they're hungry for more.
Parent-owned account, supervised kid profiles, a grown-ups gate on parent pages, no ads and nothing to buy in-app.
In the box
Every new member starts race-ready. The pack lands before Race 1 and the rashie is what every TriKid wears on course.
Five race days · Dec–Apr
TriKids races alongside the 2XU Triathlon Series on Melbourne's best beaches. Race one, a few, or chase all five — every round unlocks a piece of the in-app Season Champion medal.

Games with a sneaky purpose
Every chapter of the Race Day Adventure teaches a real skill — packing the race bag, helmet before bike, pacing the run, the transition zone — inside painted worlds kids actually want to be in.

Q&A
TriKids is built for kids aged 6–11. The 2XU Series kids races cater for ages 7–11 — younger kids can train with us and play the app until they're race-age.
Not at all. Most TriKids start as beginners. If they can ride a bike and are comfortable in water, we'll take it from there — the app and our coaches teach everything else.
The starter pack (race rashie + cap), race-day tent access at all five rounds, the TriKids app for the whole season, the in-app Season Champion medal journey, and partner discounts. Race entries are separate.
Yes — accounts belong to parents, kids play on supervised profiles, and there are no ads, no in-app purchases, no open chat and no public rankings. Camera missions never leave your phone.
The app launches with the season in December. Join now and your family's access is ready on day one — we'll email you the moment it's live.
Albert Park and Elwood, with Wednesday and Saturday sessions during programs. Race days run on the 2XU Triathlon Series beaches: Elwood, St Kilda and Sandringham.
