How much physical activity should my child have per day?
It is now well know that children and youth should participate in at least 60 minutes of moderate - to - vigorous intensity physical activity every day.
Why would I choose a triathlon?
Triathlons allow your child to gain skills in a variety of activities. Swimming, cycling and running allows children to partipcate and improve their skills in a number of areas. These types of activities reduce the chances of unhealthy weight gain through sedentary activities such as computer games and watching tv. Triathlons are very social and are a great way for kids to meet other kids so join in the fun today.
What equipment does my child need?
Bathers, goggles, towel and sun screen, remember the Australian sun is powerful!
Bike (it can be a mountain bike a bmx or a road bike - so long as it is in good order)
Helmet (Australian Standards please - you should be able to locate the ASSA sticker)
Sneakers and socks, water bottle to drink during the activities.
